Overview

“Heiwa” (meaning peace) is an interactive, gamified story that follows Oda Nobunaga’s journey during Japan’s unification. Through mini-games and narrative tasks, users learn key events and strategies from the Sengoku era.

I gathered elements of Japanese culture and repurposed them for the project using family crests as in-game currency, origami-inspired gradients to shape the overall aesthetic, and cards to represent collectible strategic tools.

The concept began with a divided map of Japan, reflecting how each leader unified different regions. Players follow each leader’s journey, and as they complete each one, the map gradually comes together to symbolize unification.

I extracted three pivotal strategy points from each leader and turned them into story driven mini games. Completing each one earns you a strategy card
